bCentral Control Components

If you're having trouble logging into an existing account, you can enter the email address you signed up with in the bCentral password finder. If this doesn't help, please send us an email with the following information:

• the bCentral services you registered with
• the full name you registered under
• the email address you registered under
• the URL you registered under
• the title of your site
• your password

New to bCentral
If you do not currently have a bCentral membership or a LinkExchange Banner Network account, please select "New to bCentral," and enter the URL of your Web site. We require that you have a valid URL for your Web site. If you do not have a URL, you will be unable to create a Banner Network account and insert its Web component at this time.

If you are getting an error on your URL it might be for one of these two reasons:

1. URL is currently registered to another LinkExchange Banner Network account.
   The URL is unique to each Banner Network account. Please be sure that you are providing a complete URL.
2. URL is not a valid, active Web site.
   The URL you provide must be a valid Web site. If you do not currently have a Web page at that location, please insert the Banner Network Web component after you have a Web page at that URL.

On the account menu, select the account for which you would like to insert a LinkExcange Banner Network Web component into your document. Press "Next" to continue.

If the LinkExchange Banner Network account you want to use does not appear, make sure that you are logged into the correct account. Select "Log into a different bCentral account" and press "Next." Be sure that you log in with the email address you used to create the Banner Network account you want to use.

Only one Banner Network account can be displayed on a page at any given time. If all of the Banner Network accounts listed have their codes currently displayed on other Web pages, you may need to create a new account. To do so, select "Create a new Banner Network account" and enter a valid URL.

We require that you have a valid URL for your Web site. If you do not have a URL, you will be unable to create a Banner Network account and insert its Web component at this time.

If you are getting an error on your URL it might be for one of these two reasons:

   The URL is unique to each Banner Network account. Please be sure that you are providing a complete URL.
2. URL is not a valid, active Web site.

Ratings information
The ratings system enables you to control the types of sites tyou advertise for and that you advertise on. There are three ratings to choose from:

Rating 1
Sites intended for children. We examine all Level 1 sites thoroughly to make sure that they are appropriate for children. Please do not classify your site as Rating 1 unless it is intended for children.

Rating 2
Sites of general interest. Most bCentral business sites come under this rating.

Rating 3
Sites that contain language or subject matter that may be considered inappropriate or controversial to certain members. This rating roughly corresponds to 'PG-13.' Examples of sites that would probably fall under Rating 3: Video game sites with violent themes, sites relating to alcohol, humor sites using strong language. This rating does NOT include pornographic sites, sites with links to adult or pornographic sites, sites encouraging illegal activity, racism, or other sites the administrators deem to be inappropriate. Such sites are NOT allowed to participate in bCentral.

If you are very concerned about inappropriate banners appearing on your Web site, you can use our Banner Network help form to request that only banners advertising bCentral services appear on your site.

Your site's rating
Please describe the nature of your site. We use this information to be sure that your ad is shown appropriately on other Banner Network members' sites. Please see ratings information for more detail.

Your site will display ads for
Select the rating level for the ads you will allow to be displayed on your site. We will display only ads with that rating on your site. Please see ratings information for more detail.

Language of your site
Please select the primary language that your site is written in. We will display ads in that language on your site.

Business or non-business Site
Please indicate the nature of your site. We use this information to help us show relevent ads to visitors across the Banner Network.

About your advertisement
This information will be used to help you create an advertising banner.

Your Web site title
Please enter a descriptive title for your Web site.

URL your ad will link to
This is the URL that the advertisement for your site will link to. Surfers who see your ad on another Banner Network site will be directed to this URL when they click on your banner.

Your ad will be displayed on
Please select a rating level for the sites you would like to display your advertisement on. See ratings information for more detail.

Your Web site title
Please enter a descriptive title for your Web site.

URL your ad will link to:
This is the URL that the advertisement for your site will link to. Surfers who see your ad on another banner networks site and click on the banner will be directed to this URL.
